Fitted true to size- mid rise. I consistently wear a 27 in jeans but chose a 28 in these. I have a smaller waist and bigger booty and wanted them to for more like a loose/boyfriend style pant. The 27 fit like a glove, and the 28s offer me just a little more room and relaxed fit.
